Civil society hearing on the longer-term positioning of the United Nations development system
The Economic and Social Council, pursuant to its resolution 2014/14 will convene a civil society hearing, with the participation of the representatives of NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC, on the topic of “Longer-term positioning of the United Nations development system”.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, 28 April 2015, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in Conference Room 3, at the United Nations Headquarters. Registration is not required for this civil society hearing. All NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC are welcome to participate provided that they have a valid UN Grounds Pass. For information about requesting grounds passes please click here.

The hearing will provide representatives of civil society an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing ECOSOC dialogue on the longer-term positioning of the United Nations development system, taking into account the post-2015 development agenda, including the interlinkages between the alignment of functions, funding practices, governance structures, capacity and impact of the United Nations development system, partnership approaches and organizational arrangements.
