Questionnaire on the future organization and methods of work of the Commission on Population and Development
Pursuant to the forty-eighth session of the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) in 2015, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) decided that the Commission shall review the functioning of its methods of work during its forty-ninth session in 2016. The purpose of the review is to enhance the impact of the work of the Commission and its contribution to ECOSOC.

The Secretariat is inviting NGOs to provide responses to five questions on the future organization and methods of work of the Commission. Please note that this invitation is limited to NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC that have attended an annual session of the Commission on Population and Development at least once in the last five years (2010 or later). Responses will serve as input to a broader discussion of the Commissionís methods of work, including the Secretariatís note on this topic, and will thus inform the deliberations of the forty-ninth session. Individual responses will be treated as confidential, and any direct citation of responses will be without attribution.

Please submit only one set of responses per NGO by the deadline of 30 October 2015. Joint submissions on behalf of groups of NGOs are encouraged and will receive greater weight in the evaluation of responses. A joint statement should be submitted only once, by one member of the group, with a clear indication of the NGOs that have endorsed the statement.
