11 August: International Youth Day 2017
The official commemorative event to celebrate International Youth Day 2017 will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 11 August, from 10:00am to 1:00pm on this year’s theme of “Youth Building Peace”. It will bring together youth as well as representatives of Member States and United Nations entities to explore the various ways in which young people are contributing to building and sustaining peace.

The Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) is organizing the event in collaboration with the United Nations Inter-Agency Network on Youth Development's (UN IANYD) Working Group on Youth and Peacebuilding.

Persons with UN Grounds Passes can attend the event with their badges and should not register for a ticketed pass. External participants can register for this event online at http://bit.ly/IYD17Rgstr. Please note that registration closes on 7 August 2017.
